About Us

YC Mapping is an energetic group of adults who support and showcase Youth Community Mapping projects in the United States. Our team includes 4-H volunteers, retired technology workers, schoolteachers, and youth leaders.

We invite you to click through the pages to see what talented youth have created. Mentored by caring adults, these youth have used GPS locaters, GIS software, and data collection techniques, to help their communities through a variety of projects.

U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service teamed with 4-Hers at the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Their work was presented at ESRI’s 2009 conference	Ourmap of Community Justice at El Cilantro	In Washington, DC, the Community Science Workshop helps students learn the tools to map their community - including the National Zoo
